Crown Princess Victoria at the opening of the exhibition "Exploring Egypt: Queen Victoria's photographic life" at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The Crown Princess opened the exhibition by explaining how she had grown up with the photographs at Solliden Palace. The invited guests then had the opportunity to visit the exhibition and to find out about the book that the Royal Collections had compiled about Queen Victoria's photographs.
Exhibition curator Kerstin Hagsgård presented the exhibition, and the book's two authors — Dr Göran Alm and photographic historian Björn Axel Johansson — spoke about the book.
The exhibition shows Queen Victoria's skill as an amateur photographer. Queen Victoria's work featured a professional level of technical and artistic quality, and her photographs, cameras and equipment are now on show at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
