On November 20, 2024, Queen Letizia attended the 85th Madrid Press Association (APM) Journalism Awards Ceremony at the Royal House of the Post Office (Real Casa de Correos) in Madrid. The Queen was joined by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. The Queen presented awards to author Jesús Duva, journalist Pedro Piqueras, journalist Santiago Cid, and the TV news program Madrid Directo.
Mango Pepper Suit
My dear Letizia I like you so much. I miss the jewels that are fit for a Queen, I miss the coulours of a Spanish woman and I miss the confidence and restlessness of your green eyes. Stay strong 👑💃🟢
ReplyDeleteSpanish woman? Colours? From Andalucia? Actually she is from Asturias, North of Spain, they are descendants of Celtic people, all very Green , rain, mountains, sea and many red haired. There are Very few jewels from the Spanish Crown, they disappeared when the dictatorship and the people are not going to pay more taxes for a nonsense.
DeleteGot to love the queens tailor, this suit is perfect on her.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime bien ce costume qu'on a déjà vu. Il est assez masculin mais lui va très bien. Cependant les chaussures manquent de finesse. Paloma.
ReplyDeleteThe last pantsuit was all black and this one is all grey. A question for the "all black is chic and elegant" brigade. What does all grey symbolize? Do you not see how one colour or monotone head to toe can be boring? Picture the same suit with a bright camisole, turtleneck or scarf in fuschia or burgundy. Wouldn't that add a touch of pizzazz to the outfit? It's like furnishing a living room with the couch, loveseat and arm chairs all in leather. Boring!
ReplyDeleteShe is in mourning, grey, olive, black, purple... Obviously she wants to be boring, just in case people from the flooded parts stay angry yet. Did not you see what has happened when they were there?
DeleteNo. La que quiera vestir como sofás y sillones de colorinchis que busque a Natan.
DeleteNatan is haute couture. Mango is high street style.
DeleteSandra, which country or continent are you from? These classic colours and the simplicity of well fitting clothes are elegant and apt in Europe, particularly coming in to the darkest time of the year. What you see as boring we see as elegant without being showy. I think this suits Letizia very well and she’s also supporting a Spanish high street brand, and I suspect as one other wrote, being careful right now to underplay her fashion a little in light of the floods and suffering. - Grace
Delete@Angie So funny, and so true!
Delete@Anon 12:15 I think there are many people that would question your opinion of Natan. Sticking a high price tag on an ugly garment doesn't make it "couture". It only means it is overpriced. They also have a ready-to-wear line. We have seen a few very nice pieces in a sea of questionable "fashion" from Maison Natan.

Delete1. I never said the grey pantsuit was not beautiful. I only asked myself why she wore 3 different grey suits in a row. And suggested another color i.e. navy which is also a good color next to black and grey. That's all.
2. There are 2 other bloggers on this blog who always write about their personal situation. Apparently they can do it without receiving critics.
3. Angie is always rude. Or she doesn't understand enough English or the translations by Google are poor, which I already noticed myself.
4. I understand that Queen Letizia cannot wear all kind of colors now with the disaster that happened in Spain and I never said she was dressed badly since then.
5. I am not going to discuss Natan here. They are always attacked for their less beautiful clothes, but when they make a lovely outfit or a good pant suit that fits you don't heare the people who have always their critics ready. The difference between Natan and a high street style is the fabric. Natan uses most of all wool, silk, cotton etc... High street styles are using more polyester, nylon, etc... That is the difference in price.....
Lovely suit. But I am asking myself "how many grey suits a girl needs" ?
ReplyDeleteThis is the 3rd grey suit she is wearing since de floods started. I understand she needs more than one suit to have always one or two spare in case she needs to change at the last minute, but 3 grey ones ? I would have chosen a navy one instead. It is classic too and can be worn with several tops and blouses in several colors.
The other ladies in the picture are wearing all kind of outfits in all kind of colors and all kind of shoes. They don't wear typical Winter outfits but more or less something they can wear in any season. I would I could do that too, but the climate where I live doesn't allow to do this unless you like to get sick very often. Since I do not have a car I do everything on foot and/or by bus or train. Therefore I need to dress warm enough.
@ Angie
DeleteNo need to be rude. You didn't even understand that my comment was friendly.
You seem to think that everybody is against you. Well, I can assure you I am not.
Maybe what I wrote in my comment doesn't interest you. That's OK with me. You could just scroll down and don't read it.
18:15 writing about your personal situation here on a fashion blog is too much sharing and off topic and unfortunately it does open you up to some criticism. If you keep comments to the blog topic, I think you’ll find your comments can open discussion instead. (Annie)
Delete@Anon 18:15 Your meanderings will open you up to criticism--especially after panning the outfit of one of the better dressed, more fashion savvy royals.
DeleteLetizia porte très bien ce costume même si une touche de féminité apporterait une meilleure allure ; d'autre part, cela manque d'un petit bijou !
ReplyDeleteI am not bored at all, this is impeccable and serious business elegance at its very best and fits the occasion (and the outfits of the other ladies) excellently. I would not swap that vest under the jacket for anything else, and I adore her shoes.
ReplyDeleteWell said. The "pop of color" brigade is at it again.
DeleteI think Letizia doesn't like jewelry very much. With the exception of banquets and weddings she seems to prefer a minimalist style. She has every right to not like it, but I think it's a shame. Her looks would be much more interesting and perfect if she added a touch of color and jewelry.
ReplyDeleteI do love a good three piece suit and I think Mango's done a great job with this one.
ReplyDelete@Sandra ... I'm a fan of monotone dressing ... sometimes. When traveling it's my go-to ... everything in my suitcase tends to be one colour or maybe 2. It's how I was trained in my teens and I still find it the easiest way to dress. Sure I sometimes break out of it but I generally like how it looks
This Mango pantsuit looks professional and smart. The vest, elevates the look to another level. This outfit, fits like a glove.
ReplyDeleteLe tailleur convient parfaitement
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
Nice look.
