I would have loved to see some color (just saw Queen Mary's pink combination and Maxima's bright-colored outfit).
But seeing how serious meetings Silvia and Madeleine had, then muted colors are understandable.
Madeleine and Silvia both look lovely. Love Queen Silvia's softer hairstyle. Madeleine has Rapuntzel's hair, her hair are getting really long. And what a lovely nod to wear blue-yellow heart-shaped pin on her lapel.
The Rose Garden looks lovely with all those blooming roses.

I love Queen Silvia's white blazer and black (pants ?) skirt. She looks always classy and stylish. Princess Madeleine's coat and pants are a good idea, but the drab color is a no for me. It makes look everyone old, even younger women. Grey is not a good color.

Agree. Smart outfits but crying out for some colour. Princess Madeleine looks different to me. Is she thinner? Different hair colour? I can’t put my finger on it.

Beautiful mother and daughter! Queen Silvia looks marvelous and Madeleine looks lovely. Given the seriousness of their business in NY I can see why they both chose neutrals--allow the issues to be front and center, not the fashion. I especially love Madeleine's heart pin supporting Ukraine--a subtle statement as well as meeting with Mrs. Zelenska. The photos in the rose garden are so pretty.

  8. It is always morally uplifting to see news on the European royality , Sweden, Spain, Holland, , Denmark, Monaco etc as with the beautiful Queen Silvia and her daughter here
...,Even though she is not in line to the throne and married to yes an American .( allegedly offensive to the Brits).. she is .valued and loved !
They are far more ethical democratic, in their family relationships while still maintaining the noble traditions , pagentry of their regal centuries of past monarchy, unlike the victorian British pecking order of" three " heirs drama
....Perhaps the pompous British courtiers should learn from the European monarchical dynasties about living with family in the 21st century rather than resting on their past imperial glories..

  9. I think it's wonderful that P. M. supports her mother in this worthy cause. And I bet Q. Silvia appreciates P. M.'s support.
