  4. I actually like what Maria Teresa is wearing. That´s not usually the case.

I like this dress on the GD, length and all. Everyone is dressed nicely and the Pope fits in just like a grandpa. He likes children around him, being themselves. To bad we did not get a glimpse of Victoire. Cute to see the grand duke have his granddaughter by his side. Love this family.

  6. GD Maria Teresa's dress is swallowing her whole. Too long might be the main issue. Overall, the Nassau Family looks very polished, and clearly happy to host the Holy Father.

A beautiful family, and so at ease with His Holiness, and he with them. Maria Teresa's dress would have looked better if it had been shorter. It looks like she is wearing regular sizing when she should have gone with petite sizing. It is nice seeing her in a dress. She has opted for pants quite often and this is an occasion where a dress is appropriate.

  9. What a beautiful family with the most gorgeous children. Amalia is going to be tall and pretty like Claire. Charles seems to have gotten a haircut. He is uncharacteristically shy with His Holiness. Stephanie looks lovely.

Maria Theresa looks wonderful here! This dress is one of the best I have seen her wear in a very long time--perhaps solids are a better choice for her. What a beautiful family MT and Duke Henri have! It's wonderful to see all the children and grandchildren (missing Alexandra's little one though). Nice to see Claire with their new little one. What a very special event for all of them.

  12. Interesting that GDMT decided not to apply her privilège du blanc

    1. Which would be mainly used when visiting the Vatican, not necessarily for hosting the Pope in your home country. It has changed anyway, there's no longer such strictness to the dress code in place.

I am struck looking at these pictures by how warm and loving the Pope looks interacting with the children. It is really touching to see.

I like the "colour coordination " between Stephanie and Claire: pastel blue for the blue-eyed blonde and pastel powder pink for the brown-eyed brunette. Well done, ladies! And they are both such happy and radiant mothers.
