DeleteMost of the zika virus cases in Brazil are located in the north and northeast of the country (information from the 'Zika Virus map' - brazilian government), about 2.500 km (1555 miles) north from Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is a big country and the Iguaçu Falls (beautifull!!) is in southern Brazil (where I live - I live 1200 km/746 miles south from Rio) .... we have winter here (not the same as other countrys, of course), but because of the colder weather, there is no mosquitos here - and no zika virus cases.
