Mary toujours élégante, fait intéressant elle a fait transformer son collier en diadème. C'est le collier qu'elle portait l'an dernier à Aarhus pour le 75ième anniversaire de la reine Margareth.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see a new tiara on Mary!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Mary has on a different tiara than she normally wears.
ReplyDeleteI wish Marie some day could borrow another diademdiadem as well.
ReplyDeleteoh so this is the necklace she's worn before, great to see it in the tiara form..
ReplyDeleteSome captivating evening looks in Denmark…
ReplyDeleteMargrethe: looking perfect from head to toe. Evening wear is her strength. A very flattering gown!
Mary: exquisite, on trend gown- although the yoke has the “sarong” effect of visually lowering the bustline. Great tiara hair. Would love to have seen larger earrings with this simple neckline, also a bigger bracelet, to lift the black.
Marie: For me, Marie hasn’t yet found an evening gown style that is really “her”. This one is fair enough, but the total fabric effect looks heavy, not light enough somehow, on her petite frame. Great tiara hair, earrings and brooch.
Benedikte: trendy, modern and flattering. Way to go, Benedikte!
Natalie: :(, the colour is lovely on you--but please, sack the stylist who talked you into this concoction. Be inspired by your earlier gorgeous and flattering gowns for your next event!
Agreed on all points!
DeleteCurious about Mary's new tiara?
I have a new 'need to know all things about the DRF' lately haha
I still have a silver coin commemorating the wedding of Benedicte's wedding, which I received from a Danish girl I had met in Paris in July 1966. Waaaaaaaay before the internet and all that, and we managed to keep in touch, me in Canada, she in Denmark, and I sent her a wedding gift, which prompted the silver coin of Benedicte's wedding in return.

DeleteThank you Barbara:)
DeleteMary has so very beautiful new tiara, I have been waiting to see it as a tiara since first saw it as a a necklace. Looks as antique tiara in my eyes. It is lightyears prettier than her wedding tiara.
ReplyDeleteI do not like Mary´s dress here. Marie has nice dress.
Benedikte's phenomenal man, way to go Ma'am!
ReplyDeleteMarys dress is nice, but would have been even better with a black slip then we wouldn't have seen the bad sewn incision under her breast. It's nice to see her using her necklace as a diadem too...kind tired of that she always have used one of the big diadems. Nice to see a small sweet and feminine one on her. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteI don't like Mary's dress. It looks cheap, especially the skirt part. I like Marie's dress but i am a bit tired of all those lace dresses. I Would have loved to see a simple black dress on her.
ReplyDeleteMary looks stunning! Love the dress and the new tiara! Wow! Her hair and makeup was as expected gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBenedikte is as always was beautifully groomed and elegant. Love her dress.
Marie, is well... beautifully groomed, but the gown is the wrong shape for her frame. I wish Marie would hire a stylist to help her direct her in better choices of gowns for her petite frame. If you are petite, you are petite - you have to go with the flow! It doesn't matter how many dresses with peplums you purchase, you will not look taller!
Natalie's gown was I think an unfortunate choice is style and [maybe colour] although her makeup and hair looked lovely.
And finally Queen Margrethe, was her regal self, what more can I say.
