Crown Princess Mary attended the Danish Twin Registers 60-year anniversary symposium at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense. Crown Princess Mary came to Odense over dinner, Tuesday, to attend a seminar on twins at SDU. Here she met, among other things, 150 pairs of twins.
Crown Princess Mary attended the seminar in her capacity as patron of the Danish and Australian Twin Registers.
The Danish and Australian Twin Registry researches similarities and differences between single and twin twins in a quest for knowledge of the importance of inheritance and the environment for human life and health. In addition to people from the Danish and Australian Twin Registers, 150 pairs of twins aged 18 to 90 years were also present.
They have all participated in the research of the Danish Twin Registry. The Crown Princess, who is herself a twin mother, is a new patron and this was her first appearance as patron of the two registers.
